Overview

The Anchor reads the news on camera to the audience and is the living representation of the news program.

Set up

To get ready for a broadcast both anchors must write their articles and go over them so they can be read fluently. After this is complete the scripts must be sent to the engineer where it will then be transferred to the teleprompter.

During broadcast

During the broadcast, keep eyes focused on the teleprompter/camera. Also read fluently and make it so the listener can understand what you're talking about.

Take down

At the end of the broadcast we group together with the rest of our team and discuss what went well and what needs to be improved.

Commendations and Recommendations

The teleprompter set up and all technological things were good. Backdrop is needed. Field reporters need to keep in better contact with producer. Producer needs to que us in when the broadcast comes back to us. Introductions and banter needs to be added to the script so the anchors do not simply go into the editorials and the broadcast is more friendly.
