Is The War On Terror A Puzzle As We Have Defined It?
A puzzle as we have defined it has five characteristics. A puzzle has limited static rules, a limited answer set, becomes clear when the answer is found, is binary, and is great for grade level learners. So I think we can conclude from this that we should think of the war on terror as a puzzle, because it has the five characteristics. The war has limited rules, limited answers, and will become clear when the solution has been revealed, and is also binary. The only thing that I guess has to do with some ones opinion is if it's good for grade level students. I for one think it is because war can teach you things and makes you a smarter person. This is my opinion of course and is totally up for debate, but I would say from the things our class has said that the war on terror is a puzzle.
MY Point Of View
I would use all of the bad data that we collected about the location of the middle eastern countries and some of the African countries. I find it kind of ironic that we have been fighting a war in the Middle East for a long time and most people couldn't even find Iraq or Iran. I think we could solve this by using the internet and the world wide web. I thought about the question and changed my mind, I think they should still teach geography but they should do it with applications like the google earth or video chatting. I think that will be how it evolves.
This I Believe:
During the weekend I listened to 96.5 the mill it is a classic rock station. It was in the car and we were jamming to it. Some Queen played and some Led Zeppelin. I don't know what the program was called but it was good. The station was probobly paid for through advergtising that is put on their stattion.
I Pledge.........
I believe in small communities, they are the best places to grow up in. I believe in this because when you grow up in a small community you know every one and things are not crowded and your best friend lives two houses down the street. I so strongly believe in small communities because I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire called Hancock and I have a lot of fond memories from there and a lot of great friends. Most of those memories came from playing in the park. The park had a baseball field, some tennis courts, a pond that you could swim in if you walked a path, and some biking trails. The park in its self was pretty nice but it needed some work. There was grass popping up on the tennis court and on the baseball field, and the biking paths were washed out from the constant rain we received the spring before. I pledge to strengthen the town park in my home town to build fond memories for other kids. I think a park in a small town is better than a park in a city. If you go to the park with your friends in New York City you will probably not meet up with anyone else you know. If you go to the park in a small town with your friends you will most likely see people at the park you know pretty well. Having a park in a small town is an advantage, it strengthens the community. Strengthening the community makes it closer, and making the people closer makes living more comfortable, and living comfortably, makes strong memories. Right now our nation could use less crime, our jails are getting extremely crowded. I believe that if a child grows up with great memories he will grow up a good person. I will bet that most of the people in jail had a pretty hard childhood. Now I know it sounds kind of silly, but if each town invested in a park it would strengthen kids memories and strengthen the communities. I can make this happen however because I believe IN not believe that we need parks. When an individual believes in something it means he wants to make a difference. When someone says I believe that they are agreeing with someone. So if I was not going to do something I would have started off saying I believe that small communities are the best places to grow up in.
